Merivale Mall Announces $10 Million

February 19, 2015, Ottawa, ON – Merivale Mall today announced its plans for a $10 million dollar redevelopment project that will include a newly built, 25,900 sq. ft Marshalls department store and relocation and redesign of Sport Chek. Also as part of the renovation project, enhancements will be made to the centre’s mall entrances, flooring and ceiling.
The construction project that is currently underway is scheduled to be complete by Fall 2015.
Bob Armstrong, General Manager of Merivale Mall is elated to be part of the team overseeing this project . “The shopping centre has been part of the Nepean community since 1976. This redevelopment project has been designed to allow the centre to better serve its community and solidify its position within our competitive retail market.”
Councillor (College Ward) Rick Chiarelli encourages the project. “I’m very excited about the redevelopment of Merivale Mall, it’s a smart move and a step in the right direction to bringing life back into the area for residents and shoppers from across the City. This is a brilliant improvement.”
